Ann Bischoff comes to OSU Star House with 15 years of nonprofit and public policy experience, as well as social enterprise experience. During this time, Ann founded two mentor programs for youth and alumni of foster care, Royal Family KIDS Club of Franklin County and LINK22; developed a program that equips teens and alumni of foster care with social entrepreneur skills; and enabled graduates of the entrepreneur program to apply for zero interest business loans through Kiva Zip. As a result, she helped incubate Le Sledge Catering, a business founded by a program graduate. In addition, she is co-founder of a coffee kiosk social enterprise, Starfish Brioso LLC, benefitting foster youth. Previously, she was senior staff with KidsOhio, a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank and she staffed the offices of three state senators, as a fellow of the Ohio Legislative Service Commission. She currently serves on the Columbus City Schools Alternative Education Advisory, Columbus Metropolitan Club Program Committee, The Dick & Jane Project Board and Ohio Fostering Connections Task Force. She earned a Masters from The Ohio State University’s School of Educational Policy and Leadership.
